Butt Lift

Butt lift is a procedure used to transform a flat or sagging butt. A butt lift will allow you to better fit into your clothes and give you an overall more shapely physique.

Many times patients opt to combine a butt lift with a thigh lift and liposuction as the procedures can be used to get an excellent body contouring result with a combined recovery time.

What happens during a butt lift?
  • Step 1 - Anesthesia

    Medications are administered for your comfort during the surgical procedure. The choices include intravenous sedation or general anesthesia. Dr. Weinzweig, your Chicago plastic surgeon, and your anesthesiologist will recommend the best choice for you.

  • Step 2 - The Incision

    An incision is made in the small of your lower back.

  • Step 3 - Recontour, Lift, and Remove Excess Shape

    The butt is recontoured, lifted, and excess skin is removed resulting in a rounder, more desirable shape. The incision is then closed.

  • Step 4 - See the Results

    The results of a butt lift are immediately apparent. Final results can be seems once initial post-operative swelling subsides.

    What should I expect during the recovery period?

    Butt lift patients generally take a week to recovery at first and are back to their "normal self" after a few weeks.

    You will be given specific instructions that may include: How to care for the surgical site, medications to apply or take orally to aid healing and reduce the potential for infection, specific concerns to look for at the surgical site or in your general health, and when to follow up with Dr. Weinzweig.
